the lore
twenty-five years ago, while studying cultural anthropology, I met a reiki mystic named joann. when she laid her hands on me, something happened that I had never experienced before – for the first time in my entire life, I felt at home.
a quarter century later, after holding reiki space for thousands of students, creating reiki retreats on sacred mountainsides, offering reiki ceremonies in jungles and deserts and oceans and airplanes, and sharing reiki with horses and wild creatures, I’ve returned to live at the very coastline where that journey began.
the imprint is strong.
reiki moves through my days here like water – the current feels familiar again, like home. my hands are on fire through the day, the transmissions are clear and direct, the energy is ancient and also alive. twenty-five years after reiki found me, I find myself returning to the place where it all began.
beneath the light of a new moon, I’d love to gather with old students, reiki friends, and fellow travelers to begin again.
what we’ll share

who this is for
former students, reiki practitioners,
those whose connection has gone quiet, those whose connection never left, and
those who wish to remember.
a quiet return
for the past several years, reiki has rested quietly in the background of my work. not absent, simply woven into deeper mysteries, stranger territories, and more intimate forms of practice.
yet since returning to the coastline where I first met reiki twenty-five years ago, I feel reiki’s intelligent presence in a new way – strong, persistent, and alive. like an old friend waiting patiently at the edge of the path.
this gathering marks the beginning of a return – not to the past, but to a living current that continues to unfold. new teachings are taking shape – new circles gather at the edge of the firelight. reiki is finding its way back into the foreground of my work.
for now, we’ll begin simply, with reiki, remembrance, and community – a shared return to the place where so much began.
I have a feeling this is only the beginning…
reiki, remembrance, community.
a shared return to the place where so much began.
