when we’re called to deepen
after twenty-five years of living with reiki, I’ve noticed that many of us began with reiki in much the same way – we received our attunements with excitement, practiced faithfully, and watched reiki open magical doors for us.
for a time, reiki filled every corner of our lives. then life called us – into initiations, families, sacred work, new mysteries.
reiki never left us – when we were exploring dreams, the spirits, the sacred feminine, or the quiet work of coming home to ourselves, reiki was always there, flowing faithfully beneath everything else.
a current I hear in almost every woman I speak to all over the globe today: we are each on the verge of some big phoenixing, beginning, or reinvention.
reiki is calling us home again.
our six weeks together
• each week follows the living wisdom of one reiki symbol
• each woman receives one gathering devoted entirely to her own life
• every week, one woman receives the reiki listening space while the circle beams reiki and listens deeply (no advice. instead, witnessing is the catalyst)
• each of us is held by the circle, and each of us becomes part of the healing for other women. healing for one becomes healing for all
• together we create six home altars, each holding the prayers of every woman
• at every gathering: teaching, guided self-reiki, shared practice, ceremony
the purple bowl
on our first morning, six folded names will rest in a purple bowl. each week, one name is chosen, and that woman receives the group’s witnessing and focused reiki. every woman receives the circle’s focused reiki and wholehearted support – and none of us will know whose turn comes first or last.
maybe your week is about empowerment (first symbol) or divine grace (fourth symbol) – or strong beginnings (week one) or elegant completion (final week). we’ll simply trust the unfolding to reiki itself.
a quiet return
for the past several years, reiki has rested quietly in the background of my work. not absent, simply woven into deeper mysteries, stranger territories, and more intimate forms of practice.
there is a mystery school component to this circle that’s delightful – reiki gathers exactly the women who belong together. reiki’s wisdom will hold us.
this gathering is an expression of a return – not to the past, but to a living current that continues to unfold. new teachings are taking shape through our own lives – new circles like this one are gathering in the firelight.
