come armchair adventure with river otter in the unseen worlds, for a february message + a 30-second practice to help you live in flow
entering the unseen
I journeyed into the unseen for this february message for community, and found river otter cheerfully making…art! he’s adept at playful metaphor to deliver strong messages, and today he was merrily collaging on an invisible wall. tail sticking out as he cheerfully rummaged through boxes of images, tongue sticking out of his mouth in concentration, he was fully lost in creative pursuit. (take note!)
an invitation to play
I sat on the floor like a little kid, and asked otter if I could play too. of course!, he said, and showed me boxes of images I could choose from to make collaborative art together. I went to reach my hand into one, and found it filled with old, cobwebby, ‘blech’ energy. oh, said otter kindly, that looks like old energy. maybe not that. and he gently pushed the box aside.
choosing new dreams
how about this, he said, and slid another box over to me. it was filled with… new dreams. the images felt sparkly, bright, filled with promise, and were a delight to explore. I started adding the shiny new dreams to the collage, even though I didn’t understand quite what the forming image was. we had a great time, with our new dreams.
‘the rooted and the grounded ones‘
what about the images and energies that aren’t bright and new, but are still nourishing? I asked. otter slid a bag of sparkles over, like small sunstars or firefly kisses, labeled ‘what is rooted & grounded.’ reaching in felt delicious and comforting, like touching essential parts of the heart that stay untouched by any of life’s storms. they felt familiar and beloved, and we tucked them into the crevices between the new dreams.
coherence through love
we stepped back to admire the emerging art, and knew there was something needed to cohese it all together. so otter happily produced a big spray bottle labeled the power of love – and cheerfully sprayed it all over our collective creation…
the supernova
as the power of love met the creative collage of new dreams + ‘what is rooted and grounded’ the space became… incandescent. so bright and so beautiful – like a supernova, like joy made manifest in one big glorious hoorah. that brilliance filled the entire space, and our whole hearts.
the artful message for february
the message from otter for february is this: craft living art with your new dreams now, honor the precious bits that feel rooted and true, and with intention set aside what feels old and stale. weave it all together with the power of love, such that your life becomes incendiary. trust yourself as an artist of life.
otter’s swift practice for you
otter has a direct message for anyone reading – beloveds who can hear the song of the power of love: if you feel resonance here, put away your device for a very short amount of time, maybe a minute. you don’t need materials or supplies, and nothing will be asked of you beyond this:
close your eyes. breathe. after each question, simply receive what arrives:
- ask: what is new and sparkly for me?
- ask: what is old and stagnant for me?
- ask: what is rooted, deep and true for me?
- breathe in the power of love
- sit quietly. receive.
listen up, folks – important!
otter was very, very specific about this: in your times, there is so much information, so many helpful messages, so many aspects of truth that it is very like static on a screen, overwhelming and unknowable but filled with information. the more you do this practice this month – even 30 seconds with these 3 questions and intentionally the power of love – the easier and easier your human path will be.
flowing like river otter (it’s simple)
otter shares with us that there’s no need anymore to track, journal or chronicle what’s happening, because the times are moving so very quickly. the invitation is instead about flow – as otter flows through the river of life with grace, humor, presence, and love.
all blessings to you – may you flow with the river and create beautiful art of your life this month.
with heart,
anna
