LOVE LETTER TO REIKI

how do I condense 22 years of walking with reiki?

I find I cannot.

reiki was my loving teacher as I taught hundreds of in-person classes and offered thousands of sessions, created reiki retreats, founded a community clinic, and instructed 20 levels of reiki.  in an extraordinary array of settings and situations, I marveled at how reiki offers solace, forgiveness, peace, compassion, understanding, and healing on every level.

I’ve come to know in breath, blood and bone that reiki is powerful, merciful, and kind.

after decades of practice,

my way of holding space with reiki has evolved significantly.

these days, reiki is elegance and simplicity.

reiki is one of many supportive tools in the larger body of work for healers that is ‘the dreaming otter.’  you won’t find a lot of ‘structured teachings’ or ‘form’ about reiki here…

your reiki encounters here will be about experiencing the energy.  reiki is sentient and will move things around in your world, life, and healing practice.  by receiving sessions or attunements, reiki becomes a gentle supportive backdrop and grounding platform for your particular body of healing work.

reiki itself is formless, and your very best teacher.

in reiki space, we can laugh and be easy together through healing tears and joyful celebrations.  we can support your professional work or personal path, reveling in the intricacy and simplicity of healing itself – which is either ‘the art of holding more light’ or ‘coming home to yourself.’

in our encounters, we can learn together what reiki is for you,

and let reiki do the rest.

if a ‘mystery school’ approach works for you, casting aside ‘need to know’ and instead letting the numinous take the wheel, dunking ourselves again and again in such grace that reiki’s frequency becomes part of us in word, thought, and deed…
