year-long women’s circle
work with the spirits and each other in community
second sundays @ 9amPT, starts jan 12
*registration ends fri jan 10
hi loved ones
we’ve had a moment to exhale after the election. we’ve grieved, raged, sorrowed, processed. and so we enter a new time, together.
I’m hearing unfocused fear from so many folks about ‘what comes next.’ or fear that’s very specific – someone is queer, has a complex health history, a child in the education system, honors reproductive choice, is undocumented, loves the natural world, upholds lovingkindness… the ways of being that may be challenged in times ahead is long.
sensitivity = strength
I hear you. I see you.  I love you.
folks aligned with the dreaming otter are special. I’m not blowing smoke here, I mean it. we are highly sensitive, intelligent, empathic, geeky about what we love, bookish, gifted, drawn to working with the unseen, and above all, loving. kind. caring. gentle. so…
strength when we gather
there is immense strength and deep joy when we circle, share our hearts vulnerably in loving spaces, and play like the mystics do to resource ourselves. we have bandwidth here – we’re by turn tender, sassy, ferocious, goofy, loving, and wise.
we’ll get through coming times. no matter how they unfold. we will certainly not make it alone – we need each other.
this circle is for witchy, kind, wonderful folks who love: working with spirit, a good book, inner work, transformation, being a funny mix of ferocious and hypergentle, circling with other kindred spirits to share in unabashed, raw, compassionate, funny, heartfelt ways.
simple format
- we gather second sundays in 2025, 9amPT/ noonET/ 5pmGMT
- we’re together for 2ish hours, with biobreak, cozy blankets, journals, cups of tea
- we share our hearts, deeply, in a safe space. no one ‘comments.’ we are heard with love
- we explore monthly themes (below) through shamanic practice, art, and lovingkindness
life will come up. we’ll be with each other in circle through triumph and tragedy, when the going is tough and when things flow like honey. things planetside might get bumpy, so we’ll clasp paws and love each other through it, as we’ve done since time began.
themes
the real magic in each circle is getting to share, listening deeply, and being changed by the experience. here are themes that hold us:
january 12: self-care & the calendar
we’re settling in for a marathon here, folks. we’ve each got self-care that works for us. we’ll talk about it, learn (a lot) from and with each other, and then get it on our calendars for the year. we’re accountable for taking good care of ourselves, and being witnessed adds juice and commitment.
february 9: the goddesses
they’ve been with us through the millennia, and will be with us through the next four years and beyond. everyone chooses a goddess to work with, and we journey into her temples for strength. it’s amazing to hear about goddesses from every corner of creation that move our hearts.
march 9: the best use of you
of countless pressing topics that you care deeply about and need attention, what is the best use of you? focused (and long-term) efforts bear fruit, scattered helplessness does not. we’ll take this to the spirits and learn what is ours to tend in the larger emerging landscape.
april 13: fool’s day!
gird thy loins! we’re opening the tarot libraries this month, and it’s going to be fun and fabulous. bring a deck (or several) and we’ll accompany the fool on her journey through the major stations of life. we’ll journey (literally) into the major arcana we each draw. strong, fruitful, and fun.
may 11: wildness
beltane, anyone? the goddess and god have always found ways to celebrate the carnal, the raw delight in being embodied and in our sensual animal selves. instead of engaging the trance of the mind, we’ll get into our bodies, and celebrate sex, sensuality, wildness, being feral (in a good way), and free.
june 8: resonance, rapport & art
what you pay attention to pays attention back. where are you putting your focus? what elemental, plant, animal, or celestial beings are inviting your attention, and how can you build resonance and rapport with them? we’ll create sacred art this month, to help us align with the gifts and helpful beings that support us.
july 13: crafternoon
ready for a creative oasis? creating is healing, and resources us deeply. be you a geek for quilting, stained glass, watercolor, chain mail, candles, tinctures and tisanes, crocheting, coloring, felting, or weaving, it’s on. it’s super fun to sit and cozily craft together with good tunes. this circle is specially nourishing.
august 10: books, books, books
bibliophiles, unite! is this my favorite circle? maybe! we’ll share the books we’re reading that nourish or delight us, and then journey with the spirits into one of them (could be a current read or a childhood favorite). book recs abound. bring your reading glasses and cup of tea.
september 14: ferocity
sekhmet, sekhmet, sekhmet. I am a devotee of her, and love her in her wild fury and tempest (and in her gentle moments, too). if you’re not yet familiar with this lioness deity from ancient egypt, she is formidable, direct, and loving. we’ll visit her temple at karnak, and each receive a fierce miracle.
october 12: the veils are thin…
samhain. day of the dead. thin veils. black cats, spells, cauldrons, old traditions masked in more recent ones. we’ll journey with the spirits to your inner witch, and learn how she wishes to be more fully expressed in your outer world. bring your besom, your familiar, and blessed be!
november 9: slowing down
the trance is going to want us to move faster, commit more, stretch thinly now, bread and circuses abound. instead of that nonsense, we’ll explore personal retreat, and each take a mini one. yours can be two hours and still fill you to your gills. instructional materials included.
december 14: the resting place
in the northern hemisphere, we are deep in winter. snow glistens on the trees. creatures are in burrows. bodies wish to slow. trees are bare. this month, we each concoct and brew an herbal tea blend by hand to soothe our souls, and share stories by candlelight of hope and healing. then, we rest.
why ‘the good witches?’
‘witch’ to me means: medicine person, keeper of the old ways, traveler of the path, herb woman, hedge witch, wisdom keeper. we’re all familiar with how the control has tried to tame or subdue our gifted ones, and in coming times we’re especially called on to celebrate our wildly witchy, powerful selves.
our sensitivity is our strength, we who can work with magic, spirit helpers, unusual tools, and our strong intention such that we shine in the darkness, and anchor good when it’s needed here planetside most.
do not be fooled. parts of this circle may feel whimsical and fun (that is true, and an intentional antidote to challenge), and there is a deadly serious commitment in me to help us feel resourced and well, so we can do our good work at this time. love, play, sharing, and kindness will keep us strong and get us through.
