the healing power of language
in 22+ years of offering energy healing for folks, I’ve witnessed that everyone who successfully heals themselves has this in common:
they’re mindful with their language as they speak about themselves + what they’re healing.
this might seem simple.
it is profound.
if you hold healing spaces professionally, here are 2 tools to bring more power into your healing and teaching work:
‘mine’ vs ‘the’
(she’s declaring ownership of what she says she wants to release, inviting these things to stick around, and weaving imbalance into identity)
piper: ‘the trauma, the anxiety, the stress, the disease, the illness’
(she’s named conditions that are truthfully present – and these experiences exist and can be transitory. ‘the’ experiences can be ephemeral)
both tara and piper are using their power.
dynamic language
if you’re creating real spaces for alchemy, change, and flow, you might consider playing with ‘dynamic, living language’ in your sessions, circles, workshops, and articles.
reason being, static language anchors conditions and experiences. it keeps things stuck.
dynamic language invites us into flow state, into the dance and mystery of living. change becomes possible.
dynamic words are awesome, because the nervous system of your student, client, or group standing at the precipice of an inner shift won’t balk at something static that is obviously not true (yet).
instead of ‘you’re healed!’ (when the healing is obviously still happening), you might play with ‘your healing is unfolding in a beautiful and strong way.’Â feel the difference?
…with dynamic language, you’re anchoring healing that is actively happening and unfolding. it’s empowering, and everything is becoming possible, real time. you and your clients are becoming adaptive, resilient, curious, powerful, and joyful with dynamic language.
your role is powerful
this is INCREDIBLY important for you as well, as you speak and hold the space. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve removed from client energy bodies the very real impact of a doctor/nurse/person of status saying to someone ‘your cancer’ or ‘your trauma’ or ‘your illness’…or ‘this is chronic’ or ‘you’ll deal with this forever’ or ‘this can’t be cured.’ (cancel, release!)
please don’t add to this unhealthy dynamic. as a person tending folks in vulnerable spaces, you can empower them in a very real and powerful way. everything – in every circumstance – can get better, be more loving, and more filled with light.
this isn’t ‘subtle.’ your clients’ and students’ cells are listening. their sentient immune systems are listening. their hearts are listening. they trust you – you can model for them, help clean up the unintended hurt left in others’ wake, and empower them in their process.
you might have been down in the trenches yourself, shadow-dancing with fear or despair, and experienced firsthand the power of a trusted one speaking again and again that you are well, you are radiant, you are strong, you are healing, that they believe in you and your power to heal.
if so, you’ve experienced firsthand how healing it is to be seen and held in your wellness. this changes lives.
your role as a healer, helper, leader, or teacher is powerful. the more skillful you are with your words, the more healing, beauty, and light you can be anchoring for those you serve. this is so effective!
summary: language anchors hope and healing
this has to be one of the most effective, easiest, simplest, and most powerful tools any healer, teacher, or spaceholder can have in their tool basket.
being kind, gentle, positive, and supportive with your language can only help…and may be inviting miracles into spaces where despair or exhaustion walked moments before.
last thought: if you (or the folks you work with) are going to use language anyhow (out loud or inside),
why not make it beautiful, hopeful, healing, and helpful?
you are powerful. you are well. you are loved. all is always well.
(see how easy that was?)
love,
anna
